Lorenzo Iorio (Bari, 1971), Ph.D., is an Italian physicist active in the field of general relativity and gravitation. He graduated from the Department of Physics ''Michelangelo Merlin'' of the University of Bari, where he took his Ph. D. as well. Since 2007, he is working full-time as a high school teacher.〔 In December 2013, he received the〔 〕 Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale as associate professor in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics of the Earth and Planets from the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). In January 2014, he got also the〔 〕 Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale as an associate professor in Theoretical Physics. His research is on gravitational physics, general relativity, tests of general relativity, frame-dragging, satellite geodesy, modified models of gravity, dark matter, dark energy, stellar astrophysics, celestial mechanics, and flight dynamics (satellites).
